Emergency stop button
In order to be able to switch off the engine reliably
and safely in the event of an emergency,
emergency stop buttons must be installed at every
station À.
The emergency stop circuit is in parallel design in
the CR electronics and can be cascaded as
required.
However, to ensure wire−break monitoring, a
terminating resistor of 20 kΩ must also be
connected in parallel at the last emergency stop
button.

A Marex MPC OSII (MPC) system consists of at
least one throttle lever Á and one MPC controller
unit Â, which are located in the upper section of
the MAN engine terminal box.
