Appendix 5 - Safety
Purpose
These safety directions must be followed to enable both the person
responsible for the product, and the person using the equipment, to
anticipate and avoid operational hazards. The person responsible for the
product must ensure that all users understand and adhere to these
directions.
LASER FIRING INDICATION & CAUTION
The scanner ON/OFF button/light will flash red or display a constant red
light when the main laser is firing during the following phases:
§ Warm-up and levelling
§ Preview (only for a scanner without camera installed)
§ Scanning
Intended use
Permitted use
· Measuring horizontal and vertical angles.
· Measuring distances.
· Recording measurements.
· Target search, recognition.
· Visualising the aiming direction and vertical axis.
· Data communication with approved external appliances.
