FX20 INSTALL GUIDE
VERSION 1.6 | APRIL 26, 2024
3. Use the digital level to measure tilt in both X and Y direction, and note the value and direction of tilt
along both axes. (See Using The Digital Level.)
4. Begin the leveling process in the direction requiring the larger correction rst. For example, if the X
direction reads .120° and the Y direction reads .031°, begin by adjusting the X axis.
5. Based on your digital level reading, slowly adjust two feet together by 1/2 or 1/4 turns at a time, as
a pair, until the digital level reads +/– .075º from zero. (For example, if leveling along the Y axis and
the rear of the print is high, raise both front feet together, as needed.)
Note: Whenever possible, raise the lower side of the printer to reach level, rather than lowering
the raised side. If the level shows that the front side of the machine is lower than the back (i.e. arrow
pointing to the back of the printer), then lift the front side up with its leveling pads.
Note: Do not adjust a single pad more than one full rotation at a time.
6. Repeat the leveling process for the remaining axis.
7. One the chassis is level with earth, tighten the jam nuts on all four feet to lock the printer in place.
With the digital level in ABS mode, record the X- and Y-axis level measurements of the device
on the "chassis to earth" line of your Installer Sign-o sheet.
