FX20 INSTALL GUIDE
VERSION 1.6 | APRIL 26, 2024
PRE-INSTALLATION
Review all safety information before proceeding.
Before scheduling an installation with your customer, please ensure that the following has been completed:
Customer facility has been set up according to the Facilities Guide
Customer has received appropriate facility-specic power cord ordered with their FX20
Customer has ordered and received Onyx material (800cc or 3200cc spool)
Customer has reviewed and completed all items in the Pre-Installation Checklist and signed and
returned the completed checklist
Submitted the Pre-Install Checklist and photos of the facility to preinstall@markforged.com
Scheduled installation at https://calendly.com/markforged-installs/fx20_install
Additionally, you should acquire the tools/materials listed in the Required Partner Tools section on
page 7. Always ensure that you have the most recent version of this guide, which can be downloaded from
support.markforged.com.
Once on site, quickly inspect the facility to ensure that:
The customer has completed all items on their Pre-Installation Checklist
Location meets Facilities Guide requirements
Customer can demonstrate dedicated circuit availability for the printer
Printer is able to power up
Local Internet is functioning and network is properly congured
Customer has supply of material on hand
Print material packaging is intact and lament has not been compromised or damaged in transit
Devices and packaging have suered no damage during shipping or uncrating; document all
damage
Before beginning installation, you must ask the customer to arrange for Wi-Fi access or an Ethernet
connection for your devices (laptop, tablet, phone).
Note: If you nd damaged material spools in the customer’s order, immediately document the
damage and contact Markforged Support to order replacement material.
NON-STANDARD FACILITIES
Customer facilities will vary from site to site. If customer facilities do not meet the specications outlined in
the Facilities Guide, you must determine whether it is appropriate to continue with the installation. Please
contact Markforged Support immediately to discuss any deviations from specication, and to determine
next steps before proceeding.
