3. When only the figure “1” is displayed on the LCD, it indicates that the voltage under
measurement is over-range and the rotary switch must be set to higher range.
MEASURING CURRENT
1. Connect the black test lead to the “COM” jack and the red test lead to the “mA” jack for the
current up to 200mA or to the “A” jack for the current between 200mA and 20A.
2. Set the rotary switch to the desired A~ or A range and connect the test leads in series with
the load under measurement.
The polarity of the red lead connection will be displayed along with the current value when
making DC current measurement.
3. When only figure “1” is displayed, it indicates the current under measurement is over-range
and the rotary switch must be set to higher range.
MEASURING FREQUENCY
1. Connect the black test lead to the “COM” jack and the red test lead to the “VΩHz” jack.
2. Set the rotary switch to the “20KHz” range and connect the test leads to the source or load
under measurement.
NOTE:
l If the input voltage is above 10V rms, you may read the frequency from the LCD, but
the accuracy of the reading is not guaranteed.
l It is better to use shield cable for measuring small signal to avoid interference.
MEASURING RESISTANCE
1. Connect the red test lead to the “VΩHz” jack and the black test lead to the “COM” jack.
2. Set the rotary switch to the desired Ω range.
3. Connect the test leads to the resistor to be measured and read the value displayed on the LCD.
4. While measuring in-circuit resistance, disconnected circuit power and discharge all
high-voltage capacitors before measuring.
MEASURING CAPACITANCE
1. Set the rotary switch to the desired F range.
2. Before inserting the capacitor to be measured into the capacitance testing socket, be sure that
the capacitor has been fully discharged.
3. When measuring capacitors with shorter leads, a testing adapter is provided with the meter.
Insert the adapter into the capacitance testing socket on the front panel to continue the
measurement.
WARNING
To avoid electric shock, be sure the capacitor measuring adapter has been removed before
changing to another range.
TESTING DIODE
1. Connect the black test lead to the “COM” jack and the red test lead to the “VΩHz” jack.
2. Set the rotary switch to the “ ” range and connect the red test lead to the anode of the
diode to be tested and the black test lead to the cathode of it. The meter will show the approx.
forward voltage drop of the diode. If the connection is reversed, only figure “1” will be
displayed.
TESTING TRANSISTOR
1. Set the rotary switch to the “hFE” range.
