Determining Length of Planks
Attaching planks to a
tailgate height above 32” is considered dan-
gerous, and not recommended, due to the
slope and required length of the planks.
Assembling the Aluminum Ramps
A. With the planks cut to the proper length,
one end of each plank slides up over the end
(with mounting holes) of each Ramp. Mark
holes in each plank for drilling. Remove
plank from Ramp and drill holes in plank us-
ing 5/16” diameter bit -see illustrations
below. Note: Proper assembly will leave the
gap noted in illustration 4C on
page 4.
From the top of each plank,
insert Bolts (3) through mounting holes to
join the plank and Ramp together. Note:
Hammer on each bolt head (to engage bolt
shoulder into plank) to prevent bolt from
turning. Secure from underside using

hicle’s tailgate may a󰀨ect vehicle manufac-
turer’s warranty for truck bed/tailgate.
Plan for drilling holes in tailgate: Review
the suggestions and warnings already men-
tioned in this manual for the proper position-
ing of each Ramp against the tailgate. Using
the Pin mounting holes in Ramp as a guide,
mark and drill holes (5/16” diameter) into the
tailgate.
Make sure that there are
no wires or other obstuctions in the drilling
path.
With holes drilled, two Pins (5) can be insert-
ed through each Ramp and into the tailgate
to securely hold each Ramp in place during
use. When work is done, the Pins can be
removed and the Ramps removed from the
tailgate.
Using the Aluminum Ramps
A. Before each use check that the hardware
attaching the planks to the Ramps is tightly
secure. Make sure that Ramps and planks
are clean and free of grease.
B. Position each Ramp so that the lip of the
Ramp is in solid contact with the tailgate of
the vehicle. Always secure both Ramps to
the vehicle with tie-downs and/or rope (both
