Why are there stains on my clothes after using my Maytag Dryer?
    • B
      Bryan MckenzieSep 18, 2025
If there are stains on your clothes after using your Maytag Dryer, it may be due to improper use of fabric softener. Add dryer fabric softener sheets at the beginning of the cycle, as adding them to a partially dried load can stain garments.

What to do if my Maytag MVWC565FW Washer is not draining or spinning properly?
    • W
      wendy12Aug 25, 2025
If your Maytag Washer isn't draining or spinning, and loads are still wet, it could be due to small items caught in the pump or between the basket and tub. Empty pockets and use garment bags for small items to prevent this. Also, tightly packed or unbalanced loads may prevent proper spinning. Evenly arrange the wet load for balanced spinning, and select the Drain/Spin cycle to remove excess water.

Why is my Maytag Washer making so much noise?
    • A
      anthonyfletcherAug 26, 2025
Various noises are normal for a Maytag Washer. You might hear metal items on clothing touching the basket, or the pump making a continuous humming sound with periodic gurgling as water is removed during Drain/Spin cycles. The hum of sensing spins and the whirring sound of the basket decelerating are also normal. However, objects caught in the washer drain system can also cause noise. Empty pockets before washing, as loose items like coins could fall between the basket and tub or block the pump.

How to fix a Maytag Dryer that will not start?
    • M
      Michelle LynnAug 27, 2025
If your Maytag Dryer isn't running, first ensure the door is completely closed. Then, firmly press and hold the PUSH to START knob until you hear the drum moving. Also, check your household fuses or circuit breakers, as electric dryers use two. Replace both fuses or reset the breaker. Electric dryers need a 240-volt power supply, so verify that with an electrician. Finally, ensure you're using a time-delay fuse.

Why does my Maytag Dryer smell?
    • A
      Ana ThomasSep 23, 2025
If your Maytag Dryer smells, it could be due to recent painting, staining, or varnishing in the area. Ventilate the area, and when the odors or fumes are gone, rewash and dry the clothing. If it's a new electric dryer, the new heating element may have an odor that will disappear after the first cycle.

Why are there stains on the drum of my Maytag Dryer?
    • B
      Brad MaldonadoSep 23, 2025
Drum stains are caused by dyes in clothing (usually blue jeans). These will not transfer to other clothing.

Why are the wash temperatures wrong on my Maytag MVWC565FW Washer?
    • S
      Sharon JohnsonSep 10, 2025
If you're experiencing incorrect wash or rinse temperatures with your Maytag Washer, first check for proper water supply. Make sure the hot and cold inlet hoses are not reversed, both hoses are attached to both the washer and faucet, and that both hot and cold water are flowing to the inlet valve. Ensure the inlet valve screens are not clogged and remove any kinks in the hoses. This washer uses cooler wash and rinse water temperatures than traditional top-load washers, including cooler hot and warm washes, to save energy.

How to prevent fabric damage in my Maytag MVWC565FW?
    • B
      bglennSep 12, 2025
To prevent fabric damage in your Maytag Washer, empty pockets of sharp items, zip zippers, and snap or hook fasteners before washing to avoid snags and tears. Tie all strings and straps before starting the wash load to prevent tangling. Mend any rips and broken threads in seams before washing. Avoid tightly packing the load; instead, load garments in loose heaps evenly around the basket wall.

    Michele RamirezSep 3, 2025
Why is there still sand, pet hair, or lint on my clothes after washing in my Maytag MVWC565FW?
    • J
      janetnelsonSep 4, 2025
If you notice sand, pet hair, or lint on your load after washing with your Maytag Washer, it may require additional rinsing due to heavy residues. Add 2 Rinses to the selected cycle and/or use the PowerWash cycle or Deep Water Wash option. Load garments in loose heaps evenly around the basket wall. You can also select a cycle with a slower wash action and spin speed; however, items will be wetter than those using a higher speed spin.

Why is my Maytag MVWC565FW Washer not cleaning well?
    • A
      Angela RodriguezSep 1, 2025
If your Maytag Washer is not cleaning well or removing stains, it could be due to several factors. Ensure you are not adding extra water to the washer, as it senses the load size and adds the correct amount. Avoid tightly packing the washer. Add detergent, oxi products, and color-safe bleach to the bottom of the basket before adding the load items. Use only HE detergent and measure correctly. Select a higher soil level cycle option and warmer wash temperature to improve cleaning.
