How to fix low suction pressure in a McQuay AGZ 030A Chiller?
- TthillSep 12, 2025
To troubleshoot low suction pressure in your McQuay Chiller, first, check for refrigerant leaks, repair any found, and add refrigerant as needed. Also, inspect the liquid sight glass. Examine the pressure drop across the filter drier and replace it if necessary. Check and reset the superheat to the correct setting. Verify the functionality of the condenser temperature regulation system. You might also need to review the corrective actions for Compressor Staging Intervals That Are Too Low. Adjust the flow, measure the pressure drop across the vessel, and contact the factory for the design pressure drop specific to that vessel. If necessary, perform a chemical cleaning.
