7. START UP
7.1 START UP: VOLTAGE SELECTION
Make sure that MPS does not have power (on/off switch [19] on 0 and terminals [15] disconnected).
Check:
1) That the value of power supply, indicated by the yellow label [16] as INGRESSO-IN,
corresponds to the available power supply (voltage / freq)
2) That power supply to the valves, indicated by the yellow label [16] as USCITA-OUT,
corresponds to the voltage / freq. indicated on the coils.
If the two above conditions correspond go to paragraph 7.2.
If not please follow the procedure below!
A) Power supply selection:
1) Unscrew the two screws [18] and open the MPS transparent cover.
2) Remove the 4 screws of the green panel. Lift the green panel (without taking it away!).
3) Check that power supply selected with jumper [23] corresponds to the one available from the
power supply available.
4) Should the two voltages be different, replace jumper [23] in order to select the same
power
supply required.
5) Go to section B.
B) Selection of power supply to the valves:
1) Check that outlet power supply to the valves, selectable with jumpers [22] and [22A],
correspond to power supply indicated on the coils of the valves.
Jumper [22]: 1HV=110V 2HV=220V LV=24V
Jumper [22A]: HV=110/220V LV=24V
2) Should the voltages be different, replace the two jumpers [22] and [22A] in order to select the
same
power supply indicated on the coils.
Jumper [22]: 1HV=110V 2HV=220V LV=24V
Jumper [22A]: HV=110/220V LV=24V
• CAUTION: both jumpers [22] and [22A] must correspond to the same
voltage!
3) Go to section C).
C) Selection of the power supply frequency to the valves (AC/DC):
1) Make sure that outlet frequency to the valves, selected by jumper [24], corresponds to the value
indicated on the coils.
2) Should the two frequencies be different, replace jumper [24] in order to select the same
freq.
indicated on the coils.
3) Replace the green panel with its 4 screws.
4) Close the transparent cover by means of the two screws [18].
CAUTION!
Never select 230V / DC for the outlets!
