The Medify Air MA-10 is a portable air purifier designed to improve air quality in small spaces. Its primary function is to filter airborne particles, odors, and volatile organic compounds (VOCs) using a multi-stage filtration system.
Function Description
The MA-10 utilizes a Genuine Medify True HEPA H13 Filtration System to effectively clean the air. This system is comprised of three main components:
- True HEPA H13 Filtration: This layer is capable of removing up to 99.9% of airborne particles as small as 0.1 microns. This includes common allergens such as pollen, dust, pet dander, and mold spores, as well as germs and smoke.
- Carbon Odor Filtration: This component is specifically designed to reduce household odors and VOCs (volatile organic compounds) or gases. Its effectiveness in this area has been demonstrated through independent laboratory testing.
- Pre-filter: The pre-filter acts as the first line of defense, capturing larger particles before they reach the more sensitive HEPA and carbon filters. This extends the lifespan of the other filters and maintains overall efficiency.
The air purifier operates with 3 Fan Speeds (low, medium, and high), allowing users to adjust the purification intensity based on their needs and the air quality of the environment. It is powered by a USB-Powered Rechargeable Lithium-Ion Battery and comes with a charging cable, making it highly portable. A unique 2-in-1 Handle Design allows the handle to also function as a stand, adding to its versatility.

Usage Features
The MA-10 is designed for ease of use and portability.
- Operating the Air Purifier: To turn on the device, users long-press the power button for 3 seconds, which will illuminate a blue indicator light. Subsequent presses of the power button cycle through the fan speeds: 1st press for Low Speed, 2nd press for Medium Speed, and 3rd press for High Speed. A second long-press of the power button for 3 seconds will turn the unit off, and the blue indicator light will extinguish.
- Handle/Stand Functionality: The handle can be attached by slightly opening its arms and inserting them into the slots on the sides of the air purifier. It can then be rotated to the back of the unit to serve as a stand. To remove the handle, users simply open the arms slightly and pull them away from the unit.
- Charging the Battery: When the air purifier stops working or fails to turn on, it indicates that the battery needs recharging. The USB-C charging cable should be inserted into the USB-C port on the back of the unit and connected to a USB-compatible power outlet (such as a laptop). During charging, an indicator light next to the USB-C port will glow red. Once fully charged, this light will turn solid green. It's important to note that the input power should be at least 5V, 1A, and the unit is not compatible with USB PD3.0 quick chargers.
- Safety Precautions: The manual emphasizes several warnings, including ensuring proper USB plug fit for charging, avoiding placement near heat sources, not sitting or placing objects on top of the unit, and refraining from immersing it in water or using it in wet environments. It also advises against letting children use the purifier alone, placing it in unstable areas, or attempting to repair or disassemble it, as this will void the warranty. When used in an automobile, the unit should be placed where it does not interfere with driving, and settings should not be adjusted while driving.
Maintenance Features
Regular maintenance, particularly filter replacement, is crucial for the optimal performance and longevity of the MA-10.
- Filter Replacement: For optimal performance, the air filter should be replaced every 6 months at the longest. However, this timeframe may vary depending on the air quality of the environment and the frequency of use. Replacement filters (Model No: MA-10) are available for purchase on the Medify Air website (www.Medifyair.com).
- Filter Replacement Procedure:
- Unscrew the bottom of the air purifier by turning the arrow on the cap to the "OPEN" position.
- Remove the cap and the old filter.
- Insert a new filter into the unit.
- Place the cap back onto the bottom of the unit and turn it clockwise to the "CLOSE" position, ensuring it is properly secured.
- Lifetime Warranty: Medify offers a lifetime warranty for the MA-10, provided certain conditions are met. These include registering the warranty within 30 days of purchase and consistently replacing the genuine Medify Air replacement filters at least once every four (4) months or after 2,000 hours of use (whichever comes first). The warranty also requires using a proper power supply (110-120V for North America & Japan, or 220-240V for other regions) and prohibits tampering, mishandling, neglect, accidental damage, modification, or unauthorized repair. The air purifier must also be operated in accordance with the provided instructions.
