PREVENTATIVE MAINTENANCE KIT
 Place the valve block on the manifold and reattach the four valve block screws. Using a crossing pattern, torque
screws to 35 in-lbs.
 Insert the new spring into the end of the plunger. Carefully place the solenoid over the plunger. Insert and tighten
the four solenoid retaining screws, tighten in a cross pattern to 8 in-lbs.
 Repeat procedure for the Overflow Valve (valve #9) using the other Drain Rebuild. Kit (78400-659).
Valves 10, Sample Port Valve
 Remove the two valve retaining screws for valve 10. Refer to figure 7.
 Pull the solenoid back. There will be a black spacer on the shaft. This is retained for reuse. Refer to
figure 10.
 Retain the spring, this will be reused
 Remove the valve seal by pulling off the plunger. Refer to figure 11.
 Press new seal onto the shaft.
 Reattach the rebuilt valve to the manifold. Make sure the spacer and seal are not pinched.
