4 Preparing to make
beverages
4.1 Filling with tap water
The quality of the tap water largely deter-
mines the avour of the coee. Fill the
water tank only with fresh, cold tap water
that has not been carbonated. Change the
tap water daily. Please observe the maxi-
mum lling level.
4.2 Filling with coee beans
The 2-chamber bean container allows you
to use two varieties of coee beans. You
switch between the bean chambers with
the "Bean Select" tilt lever.
Attention! Freeze-dried and caramelised
coee beans can clog up the grinder.
Coee powder can also damage the
grinder.
Roasted coee beans lose their aroma after
a few days. For this reason, do not ll too
many coee beans into the bean chamber.
Caution! When you switch bean cham-
bers, a small amount of the other coee
beans will remain in the grinder. The
next two coee beverages will be pre-
pared still with remains of the previous
variety. Persons with caeine intolerance
should only consume the third coee
beverage.
4.3 Filling with coee powder
You can also prepare your coee bever-
ages with coee powder.
Use the enclosed coee spoon for dosing.
Fill a maximum of one coee spoon full
of coee powder into the ground coee
chute.
Attention! Instant products can clog up
and block the brewing unit.
If no coee beverage is prepared within
3 minutes of opening the ground coee
chute, the appliance switches to operation
with coee beans. The coee powder is
then discharged into the coee grounds
container.
4.4 Using the milk container
You can use the included milk container
or a conventional milk pack to prepare
milk froth or warm milk (depending on the
model).
Always use cold milk. Only ll as much
milk into the milk container as will be
used immediately. You can store the milk
container in the refrigerator.
