Trim Thrust Guide Wear Pad
This power package utilizes trim thrust guides which are part of the transom
clamp casting and swivel bracket. The thrust guide improves the stability of the
power package at high speeds when the engine is trimmed out. When the
engine is trimmed up or down, the swivel bracket thrust guide will rub against
the thrust guide wear pads which are mounted on the transom clamps. Replace
the thrust guide wear pads if the heads of the mounting screws are becoming
flush with the wear pad surface. Failure to replace the thrust guide wear pad
before the mounting screws are flush with the pad, may cause damage to the
swivel bracket. Damage to the swivel bracket caused by the thrust guide wear
pad mounting hardware is not covered under warranty. Refer to the Inspection
and Maintenance Schedule for the proper maintenance interval.
