The input and output currents are each related to the rated
load of the transformer. When the input current changes, the
output current also changes in proportion.
In addition to the input currents described in the table, values
in between can also be implemented. Make sure that the
connected devices (e.g., ZT-F2.1(TT) or MT-ST160W(R)(TT) or
MESSKO® BeTech (type WTI)) are not overloaded and
that the required gradient is reached.
The output current is calculated similar to the following
example:
Input current: 4.6A
Connection: V5a
Ballast ratio: 1 : 0.4
Calculation:
Output current = 4.6A × 0.4 = 1.84A

The multi-ballast transformer is used to transform the CT
output current at rated load from either 1A, 1.5A , 3A 4A or
5A to 2A. It is to be considered that the device is not equip-
ped with a 2A-constant-current-output, but only transforms
the input current in a relative ratio.
The following three design options are available:
For transformer or outdoor installation:
 •deviceequippedwithanIP55housing
For location in a control box:
 •devicewithoutahousingprovidedwithan
assembly plate
 •devicewithoutahousingprovidedwithanassembly
plate and fastening clip for rail mounting according to
EN 60715, TH35-7.5 or TH35-15.
