Chip chute installation
x Attach chip chute (47) with four sheet metal
screws (48) to the chip chute extrusion (49).
Jointer fence installation
1. Remove fence carrier support bracket(56) from
fence carrier (52). Ensure that the two dowel
pins (55) do not get lost in the fence carrier sup-
port bracket.
2. Screw fence carrier support bracket (56) with
two hexagon head screws (54) to infeed table.
3. Attach fence carrier to fence carrier support
bracket again.
4. Slide two carriage bolts (57) into the fence
extrusion (58) and attach to fence carrier with
two self-locking hexagon nuts (53).
5. Fit extrusion end caps (59) to both ends of the
fence extrusion.
6. Screw cover plate (50) with two cross-recessed
head screws (51) to fence carrier.
7. Adjust the two set screws so that the positive
stops are set exactly to 45° and 90° (use try
and mitre square).

Operate in dry environment only.
Operate machine only on a power source
matching the following requirements (see
also "Technical Data"):
 protected by a residual current operated
device of 30 mA capacity;
 outlets properly installed, earthed and
tested;
 5-wire three-phase outlets with neutral
lead.
 When a dust collector is used it must also
be properly earthed.
Position power supply cable so it does not
interfere with the work and is not damaged.
Protect power supply cable from heat,
aggressive liquids and sharp edges.
Use only rubber-jacketed cable of sufficient
lead cross-section.
Do not pull on power supply cable to unplug.

Reversing direction of rotation!
(only for models with three-phase motor)
Depending on phase sequence the cutter-
block can turn in the wrong direction. This
can cause damage to the machine and work-
piece. It is therefore necessary to check the
direction of rotation after initial commission-
ing and each connection to a different outlet.
With incorrect direction of rotation the
phase reverter in the machine's 5-pin
plug needs to be changed over:
1. After the machine, with all safety devices fully
operational, has been assembled it can be con-
nected to the mains supply.
2. Start machine and switch off immediately.
3. Watch direction of rotation of feed rollers or cut-
terblock.
4. If the direction of rotation does not correspond
to the illustration, disconnect the power cable
from the machine.
5. With a flat bit screwdriver, push down the
phase reverter in the machine's plug and turn it
by 180q.
