Problem Possible cause and remedy
Drink preparation
is cancelled.
If the water container becomes empty while a drink is being
made, after the water container is filled and replaced
"Continue? Yes / No" will appear in the display. If you do not
confirm "Yes" within 5 minutes, the drink will be cancelled.
The plumbed in water supply is not working.

Check whether the inlet hose has become kinked or the
stopcock is not fully open.
The water container became empty while a drink was being
made, however, "Mains water - On" is selected and the
coffee machine has not been plumbed in to the mains water
supply.
^ Check the setting for the mains water supply (see "Settings
- Mains water").
"Please wait"
appears
constantly in the
display. No drinks
can be made.
"Mains water - On" is probably selected and the coffee
machine has not been connected to the mains water supply.
^ Fill the water container.
^ Then check the setting for the mains water supply (see
"Settings -Activating and deactivating the mains water
connection").
The container
being used is not
recognised by the
automatic spout
adjustment
function
repeatedly. The
central spout
moves to the rim
of the container
and triggers the
cup protection
cut-out.
^
Use other containers which can be recognised by the
automatic spout adjustment function.
There is a fault with the automatic spout adjustment.
^
Switch the coffee machine off with the On/Off sensor K.
Wait for approx. 2 minutes and then switch it back on
again.
^
Use another cup or glass and make a drink.
^
If the cup protection cut-out is triggered again or the
central spout moves to the rim of the cup or glass again,
contact Miele.
