Degreasing the brew unit
Depending on the natural oil content of
the coffee used, the br
ew unit can be‐
come blocked quite quickly. It must be
degreased regularly in order to ensure
aromatic coffee and trouble-free opera‐
tion of the coffee system.
We recommend using Miele cleaning
tablets to clean the brew unit. These
have been specially developed for use
with Miele coffee systems and prevent
subsequent damage.
Miele cleaning tablets can be ordered
from a Miele dealer or from the Miele
website.
The "Degrease brew unit" maintenance
pr
ogram lasts about 11 minutes.
After 200 portions have been dis‐
pensed, Degrease the brew unit will ap‐
pear in
the display.

Performing "Degrease brew unit"

urn the coffee system off with the
On / Off  button.

ith the arrow key , select Mainte-
nance. Then tap
OK.
 Select Degrease the brew unit and tap
OK.
The cleaning process cannot be can‐
cell
ed once it has started. The proc‐
ess has to be carried through to the
end.

When Place a cleaning tablet in the ground
coffee chute and close
appears in the dis‐
play:

ve the coffee chute cover and
open the lid of the coffee chute.
 Dr
op a cleaning tablet into the
ground coffee chute.
 Close the lid, replace the coffee
chute cover and close the machine
front.

ollow the instructions given in the
display.
If Program finished appears in the dis‐
play:

The brew unit has now been cleaned.
