What to do if ?? appears on my Miele KM 7897 FL Hob and it doesn't heat?
The appearance of ?? in the timer display indicates that the Miele hob is in demo mode. Press the 0 sensor control on any numerical display. Then touch the ? and ? sensor controls at the same time until ?? flashes alternately with ??? in the timer display.

The hob is incorrectly connected. Disconnect the hob from the mains electricity supply. Contact the Customer Service Department. The hob must be connected to the mains according to the wiring diagram.
