Why does the line fuse blow in my Minarik DC Drives?
    • L
      Lori DeanAug 1, 2025
The line fuse might be the wrong size for the motor. Check that the line fuse is correct for the motor size. Alternatively, the motor cable or armature could be shorted to ground; inspect them for shorts. It could also be nuisance tripping caused by ambient conditions and high-current spikes. In this case, consider adding a blower to cool the drive components, decreasing FORWARD TORQUE / REVERSE TORQUE settings, resizing the motor and drive, or checking for mechanical issues.

What to do if my Minarik MMRG30U DC Drives motor will not reach desired speed?
    • S
      Steven DavisAug 5, 2025
The motor may not reach the desired speed due to several reasons. The MAX SPD setting might be too low, so increase the MAX SPD setting. The IR COMP setting could also be too low; try increasing the IR COMP setting. Additionally, the FORWARD TORQUE / REVERSE TORQUE setting may be insufficient, so increase that setting as well. Finally, the motor could be overloaded, so check the motor load and resize the motor and drive if necessary.

What to do if Minarik MMRG30U DC Drives motor does not run, but the line fuse is OK?
    • M
      mfordAug 9, 2025
Several factors could be preventing the motor from running. First, check if the speed adjust potentiometer or input voltage signal is set to zero speed and increase it. Ensure that the inhibit is not active by removing any short from the inhibit terminals. Verify that the motor is not jammed or that the drive is not in current limit; if so, increase the FORWARD TORQUE / REVERSE TORQUE setting. Confirm that the drive is receiving AC line voltage and that the motor is properly connected to A1 and A2.

How to fix motor pulsation in Minarik MMRG30U DC Drives under load?
    • A
      Angela ClarkAug 13, 2025
If the motor pulsates or surges under load, the IR COMP setting might be too high; adjust it slightly CCW until the motor speed stabilizes. Alternatively, the motor may be bouncing in and out of current limit. Ensure the motor isn't undersized for the load and adjust the FORWARD TORQUE / REVERSE TORQUE trim pot CW.

Why is my Minarik MMRG30U motor running too fast?
    • D
      dana38Aug 17, 2025
The MAX SPD setting might be set too high. Calibrate MAX SPD.

What to do if Minarik MMRG30U DC Drives motor runs in opposite direction?
    • E
      Elizabeth SandersAug 22, 2025
The motor connections to A1 and A2 might be reversed. Remove power, reverse the connections to A1 and A2, and then reapply power.

    Dr. Mark JohnsonAug 27, 2025
Why Minarik MMRG30U DC Drives motor doesn't stop when speed adjust potentiometer is full CCW?
    • V
      victoria61Aug 27, 2025
Noise on the logic wires could be the reason. Place a .01 µF capacitor across terminals S0 and S2.
