8) MAINTENANCE
WARNING:
- Remove the test leads from the instrument before battery
or fuse
replacement or any repair.
- Damages may be done to the instrument if the batteries are
incorrectly connected
- To avoid electrical shocks and damages to the instrument just
use fuses with the same specications of original.
A. Troubleshooting
If there is malfunction of the instrument during operation, proceed
with the following steps:
1. Check the battery.
2. Review the operations instructions to possible errors on the
operation procedure.
3. Inspect and test the leads, if is broken or with bad contact.
4. Inspect and test the the fuse. If the change is necessary, proceed
with the item Fuse Replacement.
B. Battery Replacement
If the proccess of 0 ADJ it is not possible, replace the batteries,
because they must be with low charge. To change them follow the
procedure:
1. Remove the screw of rear case of the instrument and take out it.
Remove the batteries and change for new other. Place the rear
case and screw it.
C. Fuse Replacement
If the current measurement is not possible, check if the fuse is da-
maged. Remove the screw of rear case and take out it. Replace the
fuse only for an other with the same specications (500mA/250V,
fast action), to keep the same protection to the instrument.
