6 Replacement from FX3UC to FX5UC
6.4 Conversion of the Projects
Serial Communication Channel Assignment (RS-485, RS-232C)
When the FX3UC is replaced with the FX5UC, the communication channel assignments that can be used change.
Change the communication channels specified with instructions and parameter settings so that these channels match the
specifications.
■FX3UC communication channel assignment
Special communication adapters can be used to connect up to two channels of serial ports.
The configurable combination is shown below.
■FX5UC communication channel assignment
The built-in RS-485 port and communication adapters can be used to connect up to three channels of serial ports.
The communication channel assignments are fixed regardless of the system configuration.
Ex.
When a special communication adapter connected to the FX3UC is replaced with an FX5UC communication adapter, the
communication channel changes from CH1 to CH3.
