HOW
TO POSITION
THE
FM ANTENNA

Locate
the
antenna
where
the broadcasting
station's
signals
can
be received
dlrectly
with-
out obstruction,
such
as buildings,
etc. ln

radio
signal
cannot
be re-
ceived
directly.

the antenna
by
rotating
to the
position
of
least noise
and
distortion
while
listening
to
the signal.

avoid automobile

noise,
place
the
antenna
as far from
roads
as
possible.

As a rule,
the higher
the antenna,
the
better
the reception.
but in certain
places
medium
height
is best.

FM
antennas have
a characteristic
called
"directivity"
which
means
that
they receive
signals
best from
a certain
direction.
Be sure
to
orient the
antenna
so
that it
is
pointing
toward the
transmitting
antenna
of
the
broadcasting
station.

will minimize
multipath
interference.

audible distortion,

unable
to
get
adequate
station
separation
during

reception,
this indicates
that signals

strong. By using
an attenuator,
this
problem
can

in ferrite
bar

is highly
sensitive
and
an outdoor
antenna
should
not
be
necessary.
Bend
it

from

since

cause
unwanted
