Chapter A: Instrument Specifications
Thermal specifications for plates used in the instrument apply to flat-bottom plates with
isolated wells. All other plate specifications apply to standard 96-well polystyrene flat-bottom
plates. Performance specifications for cuvette reads apply only to aqueous solutions that have
solute molal concentrations less than 0.4 M.
When you apply pathlength compensation to plate absorbance measurements, agreement
with cuvette absorbance measurements for the same solution requires that the solution
volume in the plate well is between 100 µL and 300 µL.
