Workhorse Chassis Maintenance Guide
Short Trip/City Scheduled Maintenance
Every 3,000 Miles - Change engine oil and filter, lubricate chassis components, check
axle fluid - add fluid as needed.
Every 6,000 Miles - Rotate tires
Every 15,000 Miles - Inspect air cleaner filter, clean and repack front wheel bearings (or
at each brake relining, whichever occurs first)
Every 30,000 Miles - Replace fuel filter, replace air cleaner filter
Every 50,000 Miles - Change automatic transmission fluid and filter
Every 60,000 Miles - Inspect engine accessory belt, conduct evaporative control system
inspection. Check all fuel and vapor lines and hoses for proper hook-up, routing and
condition. Check that the purge valve works properly (if equipped). Replace as needed.
Inspect fuel tank, cap and lines for damage or leaks. Inspect fuel cap gasket for any
damage. Replace parts as needed.
Every 100,000 Miles - Inspect spark plug wires, replace spark plugs, inspect positive
crankcase ventilation (PCV) valve.
Every 150,000 Miles - Drain, flush and refill cooling system (or every 60 months since
last service, whichever occurs first), inspect hoses. Clean radiator, condenser, pressure
cap and neck. Pressure test cooling system and pressure cap.
