E. Inspect flight panel for security of mounting,
condition of shock mounts, freedom from interference
with structure and condition of ground straps.
F. Inspect Avionics Equipment for proper operation
& security.
G. Inspect Avionics Antennas, wiring, shielding for
obvious damage or defects.
H. Inspect pitot head for port obstruction; inspect
lines for cracks, dents, kinks, proper bend radius and
security of attachment. Drain system and inspect for
leaks.
I. Inspect static ports for obstruction and aerody-
namic smoothness at port installations. Inspect lines
for bends, cracks, dents, kinks, and security of attach-
ment. Drain system and inspect for leaks. Check alter-
nate static pressure source located on flight panel for
freedom of valve movement. Before starting the pitot
static test, allow the GDC to operate at least 15 minutes
according to Garmin Service Advisory 0608. Perform a
pitot/static leak test as described in Title 14 CFR §§
91.411 and Part 43 Appendix E.

10. ELECTRICAL FUNCTIONAL TEST.
A. Check operation of navigation lights.
B. Check operation of landing & taxi lights.
C. Check operation of dome lights and cigar lighter.
D. Check operation of anti- collision lights.
E. Check operation of instrument and placard
lights. Check rheostat travel for dimming without any
dropouts.
F. Check operation of pitot head heater (short dura-
tion only).
G. Check operation of fuel gauges.
H. Check operation of ignition switch, and starter
solenoid.
I. Check operation of landing gear position lights
(See Section 24- 36- 00 & 32- 60- 00) and warning horn
(See Section 32- 00- 00).
J. During post inspection flight, check proper set-
ting/operation of stall warning horn.
K.
Check operation of “Prop De- Ice” (if
installed).
If system is operating properly, the GREEN
PROP DE-ICE switch lamp is illuminated, and the
G1000 shows no annunciation. Amber PROP DE-ICE
ifthePROPDE-ICEswitchisinONpositionwithGreen
PROP DE-ICE switch lamp illuminated, but PROP
DE-ICE system has failed. NOTE: PROP DE-ICE is
only an option for aircraft without TKS installed.
L. Check operation of TKS- Ice Protection System
(if installed). Check operation of each pump. Switch to
Main Pump 1 ON; set to MAXIMUM FLOW; verify
steady GREEN light. Select NORMAL FLOW; verify
steady GREEN light OFF. Verify High Pressure Light
not illuminated (if illuminated is indication of need for fil-
ter replacement) If light illuminates, push RESET and
verify light extinguishes and remains extinguished).
Repeat for Pump 2.
On Main G1000 Annunciation. Verify AMBER pitot heat
light ILLUMINATES. Pitot/Stall Warning Heat switch
ON. Verify AMBER Pitot Heat Annunciation light stays
extinguished OFF. Verify Pitot Heat Annunciation illu-
minates.
M. Inspect batteries, connection & battery areas
for proper installation, corrosion and cleanliness.
11. Oxygen System Components.
A. Inspect flexible lines for security of connections,
kinks or tube discoloration.
B. Check security of oxygen bottle mounting; re-
torque wing nuts to snug and two turns tight.
C. Check security of oxygen lines, and check
bonding continuity on cabin oxygen line to ensure res-
istance to aircraft ground is no more than .003 ohms at
any place on the system.
D. Clean and check condition of the filler port and
ensure filler cap is present.
E. Confirm that O2 REQ’D” annunciation illumin-
ates at 12,000 ft + 500 ft Pressure Altitude.
12. MISCELLANEOUS/OPTIONAL EQUIPMENT
A. Inspect any other installed equipment not cov-
ered by previous paragraphs for proper operation, at-
tachment and obvious damage and malfunctions.
13. POST INSPECTION FLIGHT TEST.
Flight test the aircraft to verify correction of all malfunc-
tions and abnormalities. Make proper entries in aircraft
log book.
Wing access covers may vary to some degree between
model year aircraft.
Component locations remain basically unchanged.
5-20-07 - 200- HOUR INSPECTION
A. Replace oxygen cannulas and/or oxygen masks
5-20-08 - 500- HOUR INSPECTION
A. Replace or overhaul microphone oxygen mask.
