33Advanced settings
8.10 Register a handset
At the base:
1. Press and hold the p button on the base for 5 seconds. You have 120 seconds in
which to register a handset.
On the handset:
1. If the handset is not register to a base press
OK
and go to step 4.
2. If the handset is already registered to a base, press
Menu
, scroll d to
Advanced Set
and
press
OK
.
3. Scroll d to
Register
and press
OK
.
4. When the display shows
Press locator Key for 5 sec.
, press
OK.
5. Enter the base PIN and press
OK
.
When the handset registers with the base, it is assigned a handset number.
8.11 De-register a handset
Use one handset to delete another. You cannot delete the handset that you are using.
1. Press
Menu
, scroll d to
Advanced Set
and press
OK
.
2. Scroll d to
Unregister
and press
OK
.
3. Enter the 4 digit master PIN and press
OK
.
Display shows the rst registered handset number.
4. Scroll u or d to select the handset you want to delete and press
OK
.
Unregistered
is displayed on the handset screen.
NOTE
Make a note of your PIN. If you forget your PIN you will need to reset your product.
8.12 Reset
This will reset your IT.6XC to its default settings.
1. Press
Menu
, scroll d to
Advanced Set
and press
OK
.
2. Scroll d to
Reset
. Press
OK
.
3.
Conrm?
is displayed. Press
OK
.
NOTE
Entries stored in the phonebook are retained. After reset, depending on your country, the
welcome mode setting may be shown on the handset display.
