What to do if red light on Mountway Neptune Bathroom Aid hand control is on but bath lift does not move?
    • N
      Nancy JohnsonAug 21, 2025
If the red light is illuminated on the hand control and your bath lift remains stationary, it's likely due to a low battery that hasn't been charged for an extended period (typically 7-10 days). Immediately charge the battery. If the bath lift hasn't been used recently, charge it before use. Avoid starting the bath with the red light on, and charge the battery promptly if a flashing green light appears after use. When not in use, keep the battery connected to the hand control, disconnecting only for charging or moving the lift. It's recommended to charge the battery after each bath if possible.

What to do if my Mountway Neptune lift only moves intermittently?
    • L
      lindagarciaAug 22, 2025
There are several reasons why your bath lift might be moving intermittently: * The battery may not be fully charged. Charge the battery. * The user load may be excessive. Do not use the bath lift if you weigh over 20st/127kg/280lbs. * The bath lift may have encountered an obstruction during lifting. Lower the bath lift, remove any obstructions from the flaps, and resume lifting. Consider contacting your supplier for optional side flap protectors.

Why is the red light on my Mountway Neptune Bathroom Aid hand control on and the bath lift only moves up?
    • K
      Kyle DixonAug 27, 2025
If the red light on the hand control is illuminated and the bath lift only moves upward, it indicates that the battery is low or hasn't been fully charged. The Stop Descent™ feature has been activated to prevent the bath lift from lowering. Charge the battery immediately.

How to troubleshoot Mountway Neptune when the battery does not appear to be charging?
    • P
      Peter JacobsAug 28, 2025
If the battery doesn't seem to be charging, try these steps: * Ensure the charger is properly connected to a working power socket/outlet and switched on. Check for a light indicator on the charger box. * Verify that the battery is correctly inserted into both tracks on the charging cradle until it clicks. * If the battery has discharged due to prolonged non-use, ensure it's disconnected from the charging cradle when the mains socket is switched off or when the charger is removed. Charge the battery after long periods of non-use (typically 7-10 days). * Check for any interruptions to the mains power supply or a faulty mains socket/outlet by testing with alternative sockets and other electrical appliances.

Why does my Mountway Neptune Bathroom Aid tip backwards in the highest position?
    • O
      ocharlesSep 2, 2025
A bath lift may tip backward in the highest position due to several reasons: * The bath lift was not stored properly after use. Always lower the bath lift to the bottom of the bath/tub after use and check that suction feet stick to bath/tub before each use. * The front suction feet are located over rippled bath/tub surfaces. Do not use the bath lift on rippled surfaces, as they prevent secure suction. * The suction feet are located on very curved surfaces. Position the suction feet on a flatter surface. Do not use if front suction feet do not stick to contoured bath/tub surface. * The suction feet are not sticking to a dirty/dusty bath/tub surface or worn enamel. Clean the bath/tub surface and underneath the suction feet before pressing all 4 suction feet firmly onto the bath/tub.

      John CarrSep 6, 2025
If your Mountway Bathroom Aid bath lift isn't moving and there's no motor sound, here's what you can check: * **Flat Battery:** Charge the battery. * **Battery Connection:** Ensure the battery is correctly inserted into both tracks on the hand control cradle, sliding it all the way until it clicks. * **Button Usage:** Press the arrowhead on either the UP or DOWN buttons continuously. * If these steps don't resolve the issue, there may be a faulty electronics in hand control, battery fault, or actuator fault.
