Summary

Battery Pack Removal

Unlock Battery Release Mechanism

Move the 'Unlock' button as shown in the image to begin battery removal.

Release and Remove Battery Pack

Release the 'Release' button and slide the battery pack base to remove it.

Lower Case Assembly Disassembly

Remove Dummy Card

Insert and push the dummy card, then remove it after it pops up.

Remove Lower Case Screws

Remove the 10 screws (M2*2.5mm) securing the lower case.

Keyboard Removal Procedure

Release Middle Keyboard Hooks

Release the two middle keyboard hooks before removal.

Insert Tool Under Keyboard

Insert a tool under the keyboard to aid in its removal.

Release Side Keyboard Hooks

Release the side hooks and lift the keyboard from the top.

Remove Double-Sided Adhesive

Use a plate to slide and remove the double-sided adhesive pad.

Detach Keyboard Assembly

Carefully remove the keyboard from its housing.

Disconnect Keyboard Cable

Push the keyboard cable connector's sides and disconnect the cable.

Separate Upper and Lower Case

Remove Upper Case Screws

Remove the 6 screws (M2*3.5mm) securing the upper case.

Pry Open Right Side of Upper Case

Begin removing the upper case from the right side, lifting and pushing.

Pry Open Left Side of Upper Case

Remove the left side of the upper case by lifting and pushing.

Detach Upper Case from Lower Case

Detach the upper case from the lower case, minding the touchpad cable.

Disconnect Touchpad Cable

Release the connector and remove the touchpad cable.

HDD Module Removal

Remove HDD Module Securing Screws

Remove the 2 screws (M2*3.5mm) securing the HDD module.

Slide HDD Module Out

Remove the HDD Module by following the indicated direction.

Remove HDD Bracket Securing Screws

Remove the 3 screws (M3*3.5mm) stabilizing the HDD bracket.

Remove HDD Bracket

Remove the HDD bracket components.

WLAN Module Replacement

Remove WLAN Module Securing Screws

Remove the 2 screws (M2*3.5mm) securing the WLAN module.

Remove WLAN Board

Remove the WLAN board as depicted in the image.

Disconnect Wireless Antennas

Disconnect and remove the wireless card antennas.

Remove WLAN Module Screw

Remove the single screw (M2*3.5mm) from the WLAN module.

Remove WLAN Module

Remove the WLAN module following the indicated direction.

Lower Case Assembly - Part 1

Disconnect LVDS Cable

Disconnect and remove the LVDS cable.

Disconnect LINK Cable

Disconnect and remove the LINK cable.

Disconnect Speaker and MIC Cables

Remove the speaker and microphone cables.

Remove Hinge Securing Screws

Remove the 3 screws (M2*3.5mm) securing components.

Remove Right Side I/O Board

Remove the right side I/O board.

Remove I/O Board Components

Remove LINK cable, Audio cover, and DCIN cover from the I/O board.

Remove Right Hinge Screws

Remove the 4 screws (M2*3.5mm) from the right hinge.

Remove Left Hinge Screws

Remove the 3 screws (M2*3.5mm) from the left hinge.

RAM Module Replacement

Release RAM Module Shielding

Push the side shielding of the RAM module to release it.

Remove RAM Module

Remove the RAM module following the indicated direction.

Lower Case Assembly - Part 2

Remove Lower Case Securing Screws

Remove the 3 screws (M2*3.5mm).

Remove Left Side I/O Port

Remove the left side I/O port assembly.

Remove DSUB and MODE Covers

Remove DSUB and MODE covers from the left I/O board.

Disconnect Bluetooth Cable

Disconnect and remove the Bluetooth cable.

Remove Bluetooth Module Screw

Remove the single screw (M2*3.5mm).

Remove Bluetooth Module

Remove the Bluetooth module.

Remove Heatsink Assembly

Remove Mylar, 3 screws, and then the heatsink.

Remove Fan Securing Screws (Set 1)

Remove 2 screws (M2*3.5mm).

Remove Fan Securing Screws (Set 2)

Remove 2 screws (M2*3.5mm).

Remove Main Board and Fan Cable

Remove the main board and pull out the fan cable.

Remove Fan from Main Board

Remove the fan from the main board.

Remove Left HDMI Cover

Remove the left HDMI cover from the lower case.

Remove SD Card Cover

Remove the SD card cover from the lower case.

Remove Right USB Cover

Remove the right USB cover from the lower case.

Remove Speaker Module

Remove 3 screws and the speaker module from the lower case.

Upper Case Assembly Procedures

Disconnect and Remove Touchpad Module Cable

Release connector and remove the T/P module.

Remove Touchpad Board

Remove 2 screws and the touchpad board from the upper case.

Remove Touchpad Module Mylar

Remove Mylar from T/P module, then remove the T/P module.

LCD Module Assembly Disassembly

Remove LCD Bezel and Cover Rubbers

Remove 4 cover rubbers and 1 bezel rubber.

Remove Hinge Cap

Insert stick into hinge cap to remove it.

Begin LCD Bezel Removal

Start LCD bezel removal from the top side.

Release Bottom LCD Bezel Hooks

Push the bezel at the 5 bottom hooks to separate it from the panel.

Remove Double-Sided Adhesive

Lift bezel bottom, press Mylar with stick to remove adhesive.

Remove Side LCD Bezels

Remove the LCD bezel from the sides.

Remove LCD Bezel Magnets

Remove the 3 magnets from the LCD bezel.

Remove LCD Hinge Securing Screws

Remove 8 screws (M2*3mm) securing the LCD hinges.

Remove Left and Right LCD Hinges

Remove the left and right LCD hinges.

Remove Panel Hook Sponges

Remove hook sponges and hooks from the panel sides.

Carefully Remove Display Module

Carefully raise and remove the display module, minding the LCD cable.

Remove LVDS and LVDC Cables

Remove tape stabilizing LVDS cable, then remove the LVDC cable.

Separate Display Module from Cover

Remove the display module from the LCD cover.

Remove Camera Coaxial Cable

Remove the coaxial camera cable following the sequence.

Remove CMOS Camera Module

Remove CMOS camera module carefully to avoid damage.

Remove MIC Module Sponge

Remove the MIC sponge covering the MIC module.

Remove MIC Module

Remove MIC module, aligning it with the LCD cover dent.

Remove Antenna Board from LCD Cover

Remove the antenna board from the LCD cover.
