Rapid retraction of starter cord
(kickback) will pull hand and
arm toward engine faster than
you can let go. Broken bones,
fractures, bruises or sprains
could result.
• Whenstartingengine,pullcordslowlyuntilresis-
tanceisfelt,thenpullrapidly.
• Removeallexternalequipment/engineloadsbefore
startingengine.
• Directcoupledequipmentcomponentssuchas,but
notlimitedtoblades,impellers,pulleys,sprockets,
etc.,mustbesecurelyattached.
