  The engine may fail to start due to several reasons: * The fuel tank might be empty or contain stale fuel. In this case, fill the tank with clean, fresh gasoline. Note that fuel will not last over thirty days unless a fuel stabilizer is used. * The throttle control lever might not be in the correct starting position. If so, move the throttle lever to the start position. * The fuel line could be blocked. Clean the fuel line. * The air cleaner could be dirty. * The choke might not be in the ON position, so move the switch to the ON position. * The spark plug wire could be disconnected. Connect the wire to the spark plug. * The spark plug could be faulty. Clean, adjust the gap, or replace it. * The engine might be flooded.
