Why MTD Chippers/Shredders engine fails to start?

Your MTD Chippers/Shredders engine may fail to start due to several reasons: 1. The throttle lever might not be in the correct starting position. To fix this, move the throttle lever to the FAST or START position. 2. The spark plug wire could be disconnected. Ensure the wire is connected to the spark plug. 3. The choke might not be in the CHOKE position. If so, move the choke lever to the CHOKE position. 4. The fuel tank may be empty or contain stale fuel. Refill the tank with clean, fresh gasoline. 5. The engine might not be primed. Prime the engine as instructed in the Engine Manual. 6. The spark plug could be faulty. Clean, adjust the gap, or replace the spark plug. 7.
