Dip stick tube removal
Some MTD engines come with a dip stick tube, depending
on the application. See Figure 5.4.
To remove/replace the dip stick tube:
1. Remove the dip stick.
2. Remove the screw at the top of the dip stick tube.
See Figure 5.4.
3. Pull the dip stick tube out of the engine block.
4. Inspect the O-rings on the dip stick and the dip stick
tube. Replace if damaged. See Figure 5.5.
5. Install by following the previous steps in reverse
order.
