4. Remove the bottom screw using a 10mm wrench.
See Figure 4.10.
5. Remove the top two screws and remove the tank.
See Figure 4.11.
6. Install the tank by following the previous steps in
reverse order.
7. Test run the engine in a safe area before returning
to service.
Slanted neck tank
To remove the fuel tank:
1. Drain the fuel out of the fuel tank into an approved
container.
2. Disconnect the fuel line from the tank.
3. Remove the recoil starter by following the proce-
dures described in Chapter 6: Starters
4. Remove the fuel cap and tether by unscrewing
them.
5. Remove the fuel tank nut. See Figure 4.12.
6. Remove the screw that holds the fuel tank to the
shroud using a 10 mm wrench.
