8.7.1 Fuel system – Venting
Preconditions
☑ Engine is stopped and starting disabled.
WARNING
Fuels are combustible and explosive.
Risk of fire and explosion!
• Avoid open flames, electrical sparks and ignition sources.
• Do not smoke.
• Wear protective clothing, protective gloves, and safety glasses / facial protection.
Venting fuel system
1. Unscrew handle (3) at fuel priming pump (2).
2. Open vent plug (1).
3. Operate the pump with the handle (3) until
bubble-free fuel emerges from the vent plug
(1).
4. Close vent plug (1).
5. Unscrew handle (3) at fuel priming pump (2).
