2. Open vent plug (5) of contaminated filter.
3. Unlock drain valve (6) by pressing toggle and
open.
4. Drain water and contaminants from the filter.
5. Close drain valve (6).
6. Remove screws securing cover and take off
cover (2).
7. Remove spring housing (4) and filter ele-
ment (3).
8. Insert new filter element (3) and spring hous-
ing (4).
9. Fill filter housing with clean fuel.
10. Place new gasket in cover (2).
11. Fit cover with gasket and secure it with
screws.
Note: Only in the case of double fuel prefilter:
12. Cut in the cut-out filter.
13. Close vent plug (5) when fuel escapes.
14. Set adjustable pointer of differential pressure
gauge (→ Page 92).
