For this current version of the Cobblestone you can have at most 6 in order to ensure a
stable Wi-Fi connection. In future versions we are planning to allow more devices on
the same Wi-Fi network, so appreciate your patience as we work on that!
Cobblestone Firmware
Do the Cobblestones need to be on the same firmware version to stay in sync
with one another?
Yes! Please keep the firmware in sync since we are still optimizing certain features that
require the latest firmware.
How do I find the firmware version of my Cobblestone?
1. Open the MUZO Player App. On the “Device List” screen, select your
Cobblestone’s setting button (gear icon)
2. Select Speaker Info
3. Check the UUID. If the UUID begins with FF31, then it is the newer version of
the Cobblestone, which is module A31. If it does not begin with FF31, then it is
the older version of the Cobblestone, which is module A11.
Here is a chart showing the difference between module A31 and A11.
A11 module
A31 module
Sampling rate
44.1 kHz
192 kHz
Bit-depth
16 bit
24 bit
The sampling/bit-depth of A31 module is higher than A11 module, meaning that it can
produce higher sound quality.
Music Services
Will I be able to listen to Apple Music through the Cobblestone from my iPhone,
iPad, or Macbook Pro?
Yes.
