Usage Features

The dimmer offers a comprehensive set of features for controlling lighting, accessible through its integrated push-button rotary switch and a compatible app.

Status Indicator
  • Blue light and flash: Indicates the dimmer is in Zigbee mode connection.
Input and Output Terminals
  • N (Input terminal): Connects to the neutral and live wire "N".
  • L (Input terminal): Connects to the live wire "L".
  • Output terminal: Connects to the bulbs.
  • P (Signal input terminal): Connects to the self-reset switch-output terminal.
Push-button Rotary Switch Operations

The rotary switch allows for various control actions based on the duration and number of presses:

  • Short press (within 0.5s):
    • Turn on: One short press when the dimmer is OFF.
    • Turn off: One short press when the dimmer is ON.
  • Long press (over 0.5s):
    • Dimming: Adjusts brightness when in ON status. Releasing and long pressing again changes the dimming direction.
  • Continuous short press (each interval within 1s):
    • Two times: Quickly turns the light to full brightness (when in ON/OFF status).
    • Six times: Sets the ideal minimum brightness (when in ON status). The lamp flashes three times to confirm.
    • Seven times: Enters network mode (when in ON status). The bulb flashes once, and the status indicator turns blue and flashes. If connection fails, the app exits network mode after three minutes. During network connection, the lamp may flicker if the light is at its brightest. After successful configuration or withdrawal from the network, the lamp returns to normal.
    • Eight times: Sets the ideal maximum brightness (when in ON status). The lamp flashes three times to confirm.
    • Nine times: Clears the setting brightness (min or max) (when in ON status). The lamp flashes five times to confirm.
    • Ten times: Restores factory settings (when in ON status). The lamp flashes once to confirm.
App Operation

The dimmer can also be controlled via a compatible app, offering similar functionalities:

  • ON/OFF: Turn the lights on or off.
  • Dimming: Adjust the brightness level.
  • Quickly turn to the full brightest: Instantly set the lights to maximum brightness.
  • Schedule on/off: Program specific times for the lights to turn on or off.
  • Share device: Allow other users to control the device.
  • Group control: Manage multiple dimmers or lights as a single group.
Self-reset Switch Operation

The dimmer supports connection with multiple self-reset switches (up to 20pcs) to control UP/DOWN and ON/OFF simultaneously.

  • Priority: The operation of a self-reset switch takes precedence over app operations. If a self-reset switch is being operated, app control will not work.

Installation

Installation requires basic tools and adherence to safety guidelines:

Tools Needed
  • Ø5mm Philips Screwdriver
  • Electrical Tape
  • Cutter
  • Test pencil
  • Plier
  • Ruler
Installation Steps
  1. Safety First: Turn off power at the circuit breaker or fuse and verify power is off before wiring to avoid fire and electrical shock.
  2. Wiring: Choose between "Live Wire" or "Neutral and Live Wire" connection diagrams based on your requirements. The wire core cross-sectional area for terminals should be 0.75 mm² - 1.5mm², with a stripping length of 9mm.
    • 1-Way and Multi-way Wiring: Detailed diagrams are provided for both single and multiple control point setups.
    • Note on Multi-way: The dimmer should be connected to the electricity side of the load for normal operation. It supports connecting with multiple self-reset switches (up to 20) for UP/DOWN and ON/OFF control. Two or more dimmers should not be connected in parallel or series to control the same load from two different locations.
  3. Dimmer Assembly:
    • Divide the dimmer into two parts: Operation Component, Panel, and Drive Component.
    • Carefully position all wires inside the wall-box, ensuring enough space for the dimmer housing.
    • Insert the Drive Component into the wall-box, aligning it with the screw holes (①②).
    • Tighten screws (①②) to secure the Drive Component to the Junction Box.
    • Install the Operation Component onto the Fixing Panel and then attach them to the Drive Component.

Maintenance Features

Troubleshooting

The manual provides solutions for common issues:

  • Lights flickering:
    • Possible Cause: Bad lamp connection.
    • Solution: Reconnect and fix the wires.
  • The brightness of the lamp varies:
    • Possible Cause: One dimmer connected to multiple types of bulbs, causing interference and flicker.
    • Solution: Change bulbs to the same type.
  • LED and CFL flickers at low end of dimming range:
    • Possible Cause: Load compatibility is not good.
    • Solution: Turn up the lamp minimum brightness properly.
  • Lights do not turn on:
    • Possible Cause: Circuit breaker tripped.
    • Solution: Turn power on.
    • Possible Cause: Fuse burnt out.
    • Solution: Change fuse.
    • Possible Cause: Lamp burnt out.
    • Solution: Change lamp.
    • Possible Cause: Lamp neutral connection is not wired.
    • Solution: Reconnect the lamp neutral.
  • Lights out of control:
    • Possible Cause: Abnormal.
    • Solution: Restart the power switch.
General Recommendations
  • Minimum Brightness Setting: After installation, it is recommended to set the minimum brightness level to ensure bulbs turn on immediately.
  • Bulb Compatibility: Use only compatible dimmable LED, CFL, incandescent, or halogen bulbs.
  • Avoid Mixing Bulb Types: When using multiple bulbs with one dimmer, do not mix bulb types. Using the same model of each bulb will enhance dimmer performance.
  • Circuit Protection: The dimmer should be protected by a 16A maximum miniature circuit breaker.
  • Installation Expertise: If unsure about any part of the instructions, consult a licensed electrician.
  • Overheating Prevention: Do not install to control a receptacle, a motor-operated appliance, or a transformer-supplied appliance to reduce the risk of overheating and damage.
