How to fix rear or side burners that won't light with the igniter on my Napoleon P500RSIBPK-3 Grill?
    • R
      Ryan EvansAug 16, 2025
If the rear and side burners won't light with the igniter but will light with a match, first replace the battery with a premium heavy-duty one, ensuring it's installed correctly. Check that the electrode wire is firmly pushed onto the terminal on the back of the igniter. Also, check that the lead wires from the module to the ignition switch are firmly pushed onto their respective terminals. If flames are lifting on the burner, slightly close the air shutter.

How to fix the main burner that won't light with the igniter on my Napoleon P500RSIBPK-3 Grill?
    • B
      Brian FreemanAug 19, 2025
If the main burner won't light with the igniter but will light with a match, the jet-fire outlet may be dirty or clogged. Clean the jet-fire outlet with a soft bristle brush.

Why is there low heat or low flame on my Napoleon Grill when the valve is on high?
    • Z
      Zachary MckeeAug 22, 2025
The low heat or flame could be due to several reasons. If you're using propane, ensure you're following the correct lighting procedure, with all gas grill valves off when the tank valve is turned on, and turn the tank on slowly to equalize pressure. If you're using natural gas, the supply line might be undersized, requiring a properly sized pipe according to the installation code. For both gas types, improper preheating could be the cause. Preheat the grill with both main burners on high for 10 to 15 minutes.

What to do if my Napoleon P500RSIBPK-3 has excessive flare-ups or uneven heat?
    • C
      Cameron LeeAug 26, 2025
Excessive flare-ups and uneven heat could stem from a few issues. First, ensure sear plates are correctly installed with holes facing forward and slots at the bottom. Improper preheating can also cause this, so preheat the grill with both main burners on high for 10 to 15 minutes. Lastly, excessive grease and ash buildup can be a culprit. Clean the sear plates and drip pan regularly, and avoid lining the pan with aluminum foil.

Why does the Napoleon Grill burner output on high seem too low?
    • R
      Rodney ReeseAug 28, 2025
A low burner output on high could be due to a lack of gas. Check the propane cylinder's gas level or for any pinches in the supply hose. A dirty or clogged orifice or spider webs in the venturi tube could also be the cause. Clean the burner orifice and venturi tube. Additionally, the propane regulator might be in a 'low flow' state. Ensure the correct lighting procedure is followed: all gas grill valves must be off when the tank valve is turned on, and the tank should be turned on slowly to allow pressure to equalize.

What to do if my Napoleon Grill infrared burner flashes back?
    • S
      Susan PenaAug 31, 2025
If your infrared burner flashes back, turn it off and let it cool for at least two minutes. Then, relight the burner and let it burn on high for at least five minutes or until the ceramic tiles are evenly glowing red. Make sure no more than 75% of the grill surface is covered by objects. If the issue continues, turn the burner off, let it cool, and check for cracks in the ceramic tile. If you find any cracks, contact your Napoleon dealer to order a replacement burner assembly.

Why do the burners on my Napoleon P500RSIBPK-3 burn with a yellow flame and smell like gas?
    • C
      Chris CooperSep 3, 2025
A yellow flame accompanied by the smell of gas could be due to a spider web or other debris in the burner, or improper air shutter adjustment. Clean the burner thoroughly by removing it. A qualified gas installer should slightly open the air shutter according to combustion air adjustment instructions.

What to do if the burners on my Napoleon Grill won't cross light each other?
    • V
      vanessashieldsSep 9, 2025
If the burners won't cross light each other, the cross light brackets may be dirty or corroded. Clean or replace them as needed.

Why does the inside of my Napoleon P500RSIBPK-3 Grill lid appear to be peeling?
    • D
      David KennedySep 12, 2025
The peeling appearance inside the lid is not a defect. The finish on the lid is porcelain and will not peel. The peeling is caused by hardened grease that dries into paint-like shards and flakes off. Regular cleaning will prevent this.
