Why Napoleon Grill burner won't light with igniter?
    • D
      Donald WashingtonAug 16, 2025
If your Napoleon Grill burner won't light with the igniter but lights with a match, replace the battery with a heavy-duty 'AAA' battery, ensuring the positive terminal faces up. Check that the electrode wire is firmly attached to the igniter's terminal. If you have a one-spark system, use a one-spark igniter. Make sure the collector box is tight and the gap between the electrode and collector box is between 1/8 - 3/16", adjusting by bending the box. Closing the air shutter slightly may also help.

      Courtney HarrisAug 19, 2025
To prevent excessive flare-ups on your Napoleon Grill, ensure the sear plates are correctly installed with the holes facing the front and the slots on the bottom, consulting the assembly instructions. Why is "paint" peeling inside Napoleon PT450RB lid?
    • M
      Mary EllisAug 26, 2025
If you notice what appears to be paint peeling inside the lid or hood of your Napoleon Grill, don't worry, it's not a defect. The finish is stainless steel and porcelain, which won't peel. The peeling is hardened grease that has dried into paint-like shards. Regular cleaning, as described in the cleaning instructions, will prevent this buildup.

Why is Napoleon PT450RB Grill burner output too low?
    • V
      Vicki Santos DVMAug 28, 2025
To resolve a low burner output on the “high” setting (indicated by rumbling noise and fluttering blue flame) on your Napoleon Grill, first check the gas level in your propane cylinder and reposition the supply hose if it's pinched. Then, clean the burner orifice and venturi tube to remove any obstructions. If the ceramic tile is cracked, order a replacement from an authorized Napoleon dealer. Also, ensure you follow the correct lighting procedure: all gas grill valves must be off when the tank valve is turned on; turn it on slowly to equalize pressure. Refer to the lighting instructions.

What to do if Napoleon PT450RB infrared burner flashes back?
    • P
      Patricia ManningAug 30, 2025
If the infrared burner on your Napoleon Grill flashes back, turn it off and let it cool for at least two minutes. Relight the burner and let it burn on high for at least five minutes, or until the ceramic tiles glow red evenly. Ensure that no more than 75% of the grill surface is covered. If there are any cracks, contact your authorized Napoleon dealer for ordering a replacement burner assembly. If there is a leaking gasket surrounding the ceramic tile, or a weld failure in the burner housing, contact your authorized Napoleon dealer for instructions on ordering a replacement burner assembly.
