What to do if my Napoleon PF600 burner will not light with the ignitor, but will light with a match?
    • M
      Michael FitzpatrickAug 15, 2025
Check that the electrode wires are firmly pushed onto the terminal on the ignition module and that the lead wires from the module to the ignition switch are firmly pushed onto their respective terminals. Make sure the gap between the electrode end and the collector box is between 1/8 - 3/16". If none of that works, try replacing the battery with a new one.

Why is there low heat/low flame on my Napoleon PF600 Grill when the valve is on high?
    • E
      elarsonAug 18, 2025
If you're using propane, double-check that you're following the lighting procedure carefully. For natural gas, the supply line might be too small, so ensure the pipe is properly sized according to the installation code. For both gas types, make sure you preheat the grill with the main burners on high for 5 to 10 minutes.

What to do if my Napoleon Grill has excessive flare-ups or uneven heat?
    • E
      Elizabeth MitchellAug 22, 2025
First, check that the sear plates are correctly installed with the holes facing the front and the slots on the bottom. Ensure you pre-heat the grill with the main burners on high for 5 to 10 minutes. Also, regularly clean the sear plates and drip pan to prevent grease and ash buildup. Do not line the pan with aluminum foil.

Why does my Napoleon Grill burner output on “high” setting is too low?
    • S
      Susan SavageAug 26, 2025
Check the gas level in your propane cylinder. Make sure the supply hose isn't pinched, and if it is, reposition it. Clean the burner orifice, and also clean out the venturi tube to remove any spider webs or foreign matter. Ensure lighting procedure is followed carefully. If the ceramic tile is cracked, order a replacement from your authorized Napoleon dealer.

What to do if the infra-red burner flashes back on my Napoleon Grill?
    • N
      Nathaniel HendricksAug 28, 2025
Turn the burner off and let it cool down for at least two minutes. Make sure that objects or accessories cover no more than 75% of the grill surface to ensure adequate ventilation. If there is a leaking gasket surrounding the ceramic tile, or a weld failure in the burner housing, contact your authorized Napoleon dealer for instructions on ordering a replacement burner assembly.

What to do if the pilot will not light on my Napoleon PF600?
    • S
      Steven StanleySep 12, 2025
After turning the pilot knob to high, wait about 20-30 seconds for the air to purge from the gas supply line while pressing the igniter. If that doesn't work, clean the pilot orifice or replace the lead wire if it is loose or off. You may also need to clean the pilot electrode.
