10, BA7TERY PACK REPLACEMENT
Replace battery (Narco PhJ 57674-0601) for any of the
following reasons:
A. Visual inspection shows signs of leakage, corrosiatr
or non-secure leads.
B. Past replacement dab noted on battery pack.
C. After ~lny emergency use.
D. After one ~utnulaEivc hour of use.
E, After operation of unknown duration.
F. If the tfadttw is stored in an area wkm the
temperature is normally abwe 38T (IOOPF), thebat-
tery shoutd bc reptaoed at no greater than 12 month
intervaIs. Battery storage at temperatureinexcess of
STC (130°F) must be avoided.
Replacement Pmwdure;
1. Sat the OWOFF-Aaha switch tu OFT.
2. Remo* the ELT 10 from ib mounting bracket.
3. Extend the portabk antema.
4. Unscrew the four scm that bid the mnmI
head to the battery casing.
Control Hcsd-Battery Case slide apart. Battery
connection leads - approximately 3" long.)
