8 Cleaning, maintenance, repair
8.1 Care and cleaning
To clean the Narcotrend-Compact M and the display surface use a lint-free cloth
moistened with warm water (max. 40 °C / 104 °F) and soap, a thinned non-corrosive
cleaner, or an ammonia/alcohol-based cleaner.
To disinfect the Narcotrend-Compact M and the display surface use a lint-free cloth
dampened with a 10% bleach / 90% water solution (household bleach [containing less
than 10% sodium hypochlorite]) or wipe the surfaces with disinfectant containing alcohol
(e.g. Meliseptol
®
) or disinfectant with the active ingredient chlorine dioxide
(e.g. Tristel Jet
®
).
After cleaning / disinfection, dry all areas with a lint-free absorbent paper towel.
Sterilization is not carried out.
The cleaning / disinfection of the accessories, e.g. patient leads, are carried out in the
same way described above.
• Use cleaning and disinfecting agents always in observance to the
manufacturer's instructions.
• Do not allow any water to enter the housing.
• Do not use abrasive detergents.
• Do not mix disinfectants (such as bleach and ammonia), dangerous
gases can occur.
