Known Issues
A PCI Express Link Connected to a Retimer
May Fail to Link Up on Chassis with Gen 1 or
Gen 2 PCI Express Switches
Impacted PCI Express links:
2-link mode: link 1
4-link mode: link 1 and link 2
Workaround:
Power cycle the system.
Apply a possible workaround in the PCI Express switch errata to disable
capture of TCB training sets to reduce the failure rate to about 2%. However,
this requires a PCI Express switch EEPROM update. The EEPROM update is not
tested with other shipping controllers.
A PCI Express Link Connected to a Retimer
May Go Down After a Secondary Bus Reset or
Link Disable on Gen 1 or Gen 2 Switches
Impacted PCI Express links:
2-link mode: link 1
4-link mode: link 1 and link 2
