Installing the MAX 420
Proceed with installation as follows:
1. Install the unit in a well-ventilated area. If it is placed on a surface rather
than in a rack, be sure that all the rubber feet are in place to allow for
proper air circulation. Do not place objects on top of the unit.
Please refer to the Net2Phone MAX 420 Hardware Installation Guide and
observe the safety precautions listed.
2. Connect any one of the FXS RJ-11 ports to an analog telephone.
3. Connect the RJ-45 LAN port to a hub or switch.
4. Connect the telephone and LAN cables as illustrated in Figure 2, below.
REMINDER: FXS ports support remote access IVR functionality.
