ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS
Connecting a barb connector. Size 2"; 3"; 4"
1.
Strictly ensure the pipe is
cut perfectly straight
during the cutting operation (
Fig. 1
).
When reconnecting a pipe to the connector, cut at least 1.5 cm (5/8") off the pipe end.

Insert the metal clamp onto the pipe (
Fig. 2
).
3.
Make sure that the pipe inside surface is wet, so it will not stick to the rubber seal in the connector, and
move it from it's groove.
4.
Make sure that the pipe is
inserted all the way
to the connector’s shoulder (
Fig. 3a
).
5.
Make sure there is
no gap
between the metal clamp and the connector’s shoulder (
Fig. 3, 3a and 3b
).

Summary

Connecting a barb connector (Sizes 2, 3, 4)

Prepare pipe end

Ensure pipe is cut perfectly straight and trim 1.5 cm (5/8") off the end for reconnection.

Insert metal clamp

Insert the metal clamp onto the pipe before connecting the barb connector.

Ensure proper insertion and seal

Wet pipe surface, insert fully to shoulder, and check for no gap between clamp and shoulder.

Connecting to fittings

Connecting a threaded adaptor

Apply teflon tape to threads for sealing and use a suitable key/wrench to tighten the adaptor.

Connecting a PVC cement adaptor

Glue the adaptor according to PVC cement manufacturer's instructions and use a cleaning primer.

Branching a 12 thread

Drill hole for thread

Use a 18-19 mm (3/4") drill-bit to drill a hole at the designated place.

Prepare thread

Use a BSP/NPT 1/2" tap to prepare the thread for connection.

Connect accessory

Connect the relevant accessory, applying Teflon tape if needed.

Connecting a barb connector (Sizes 6, 8, 10, 12)

Prepare pipe end

Ensure pipe is cut straight and trim 1.5 cm (5/8") off the end for reconnection.

Insert metal clamp

Insert the metal clamp onto the pipe.

Ensure proper insertion and seal

Wet connector, insert pipe fully to shoulder, ensure clamp is above rubber seal.

Connecting to PVC fittings

Connecting a PVC cement adaptor

Glue the adaptor according to PVC cement manufacturer's instructions and use a cleaning primer.

Coupling options

Illustrates end cap and elbow coupling options for PVC fittings.

Connecting a high pressure barb connector (Sizes 6, 8)

Prepare pipe end

Ensure pipe is cut straight and trim 5.0 cm (2") off the end for reconnection.

Insert metal clamps

Insert the two metal clamps onto the pipe.

Ensure proper insertion and seal

Wet connector, insert pipe fully to shoulder, ensure clamps are above seal/ribbed rim.

Connecting to PVC fittings (Sizes 6, 8, 160-315 mm)

Connecting a PVC cement adaptor

Glue the adaptor according to PVC cement manufacturer's instructions and use a cleaning primer.
