No disk shelf firmware update is needed. If you are using ACP, go to Step 4;
otherwise, the procedure is complete.

a. Go to "Disk Shelf Firmware" on the NetApp Support Site.

b. Click the download link for "all current Disk Shelf & I/O Module Firmware"
at the top of the page.
You are brought to "Instructions for Downloading and Installing Disk Shelf
and ACP Firmware".
c. Update the disk shelf firmware by following the instructions.
d. If you are using ACP, go to Step 4; otherwise, the procedure is complete.
4. If you are using ACP, verify that the ACP firmware is the most current version:
a. Enter the following command at the system console:
storage show acp
For clustered Data ONTAP, enter this command through the nodeshell.
b. Locate the ACP firmware information for the hot-added shelf in the output.
You should see command output similar to the following:
