b. In the Network screen, click the
Apply button.
c. If you are prompted to create a
profile, click Create a new profile
and click the + button.
Connect to the Internet
for the First Time
To use your account to connect to the
Internet, a profile must be set up that
includes the access point name (APN) for
your service provider. Depending on how
your AirCard USB modem is configured, the
profile might already be set up or you might
need to create one.
The first time you run the AirCard Watcher,
it takes a few seconds for the modem to
detect the network.
When the modem detects the network, the
Connect button becomes available.
1. Click the Connect button.
2. If you are prompted to create a profile:
• On a Windows computer, click
the Yes button and follow the
onscreen prompts.
• On a Mac computer, under the
menus select AirCard Watcher
> Preferences. Then click the
Profiles tab and enter your APN
information.
To find the APN, do one of the following:
• Check the information that came with
your SIM.
• Use an alternate Internet connection to
check your service provider’s website.
• Use an alternate Internet connection
to perform a web search for <service
provider name> APN.
