SFP uplink port for fiber connectivity
To enable fiber connections, two SFP fiber uplink ports accommodate a standard small
form-factor pluggable (SFP) gigabit interface converter (GBIC, also referred to as
transceiver modules). GBICs are sold separately from the switch.
Ports 17 and 18 on the switch support the NETGEAR SFP transceiver modules that are
listed in the following table.

Note: If you use a third-party passive direct-attach cable (DAC), the length of the cable
must not exceed 5 meters (16.4 feet).
Multi-function Reset button
The switch provides a recessed, multi-function Reset button on the front panel.
Depending on how long you press the button (for details, see the following procedure),
this button lets you perform the following tasks:
Restart (power-cycle) the switch. The switch restarts. All saved settings are retained.
We recommend that you save the settings before you press the Reset button to
restart the switch.
Reset the switch to factory default settings but maintain the registration status.
All settings are erased and the switch restarts with factory default settings. The
NETGEAR registration status is maintained and not reset.

registration status is reset. You must reregister the switch with NETGEAR.
