Ensure the Ethernet cable connections are securely plugged into both the NETGEAR Wireless Router and the modem or computer. Verify that the connected modem or computer is powered on. Also, confirm you're using the correct cable; when connecting the router’s Internet port to a cable or DSL modem, use the cable that came with the modem, which could be a standard straight-through Ethernet cable or an Ethernet crossover cable.
