What to do if my Nexgrill 740-0593A won't light?
    • M
      Meredith JohnsonJul 31, 2025
First, push and turn the knob to see if there's a spark. If you see a spark, ensure gas is reaching the burner. You may need to purge the gas line to remove trapped air. Try match-lighting the burner to check gas flow. Also, check if other burners are working. Inspect the electrode and wire while pushing the igniter knob; if the spark isn't at the igniter tip, the igniter needs replacing.

Why is my Nexgrill Grill producing low heat with LP gas?
    • T
      Taylor StevensAug 4, 2025
Rapid pressure changes can activate the excess flow device. To resolve this, ensure all burner valves are in the “OFF” position. Then, open the tank valve and wait 5 seconds. Finally, light the burners one at a time, following the lighting instructions on the control box.

How to prevent excessive flare-ups on my Nexgrill Grill?
    • J
      Joshua AndrewsAug 10, 2025
To minimize flare-ups when using your Nexgrill Grill: * Keep the hood up while grilling. * Use low knob settings. * If needed, turn off one burner. * Preheat the grill for 10-15 minutes to burn off drippings. * Choose leaner meats. * When grilling chicken, start meat-side down on low for 20 minutes, then skin-side down for another 20 minutes, following the above steps. * If flare-ups persist, move food to the warming rack until the flames subside. Never spray water on gas flames, as this can damage your grill.

Why is my Nexgrill 740-0593A generating low heat even with the knob in the 'HI' position?
    • T
      tnunezAug 15, 2025
First, determine if the issue is isolated to a single burner. If so, clean the orifice and burner, clearing any obstructions from the ports. Inspect the fuel hose for bends or kinks. Ensure the air shutter is properly adjusted and that the gas supply and pressure are adequate. Preheat the grill for a full 15 minutes. If you're using LP gas, check if the tank is empty.

Why is the burner flame yellow and why do I smell gas on my Nexgrill 740-0593A Grill?
    • G
      ghillAug 20, 2025
A yellow burner flame and gas odor indicate a potential issue. Inspect the burner inlet for obstructions, especially spiders or insects. Check the air shutter to ensure it's properly adjusted. Also, try to identify the source of any gas leaks.

What to do if the burner keeps blowing out on my Nexgrill Grill?
    • B
      Brian CoxAug 26, 2025
If the burner on your Nexgrill Grill keeps blowing out, check for any defects in the burner itself and ensure it's installed correctly. Make sure the fuel mixture isn't too lean and that the gas supply is sufficient. Also, check to see if the LP tank is empty.
